As the largest suburb in the Phoenix metropolitan area, the city of Mesa is proud to host many family friendly events each year. From outdoor activities to shops and museums, there surely is something for everyone to do.
Art in the Park Event Logo
"Together Mesa" sprouts from the values of respect and inclusion and blooms into celebrating our diverse heritage.
As part of Together's initiative, Art in the Park aims to bring the arts and family fun events into Mesa neighborhoods.
The logo requested was to have lots of color to correlate with the art aspect along with some fun brushstrokes, and preferably another element that connects with being in a park setting. The challenge was trying not to have a logo that was cliche and also have it not clash with the Together logo. I opted for a fun color wash with a bold and spunky font to make it stand out. The lead designer suggested throwing in a tree and recoloring some of the wash to make it match the Together logo.

Cyclomesa is an annual event held downtown Mesa. This event is free and all-ages. Attendees can enjoy: BMX Stunt Shows, Bike Rodeo, Live Entertainment, Food Trucks, Zip Lines and more!
Teen Prevention Flyers
RMC requested an informational flyer for presentations on substance abuse, geared towards youth (aged 13-17). Because the copy was rather information-dense, I incorporated graphics to provide visual interest. Also using fun and juvenile colors to balance out the serious topic.
